Returning to their family’s cabin in the dark, Wisconsin woods to scatter the ashes of their father, a troubled young man and his brash sister are terrorized by signs that an ancient, Native-American spirit, awakened by a ritual murder, has marked them for death.
While serving as assistant editor on this independent film (shot in RED 5K), Michael Ray Brown cut this preliminary trailer. He managed to track down 750 audio files and three camera cards that had been misplaced by the data wrangler. Working in Adobe Premiere Pro, he organized more than 14TB of R3D 5K media, synched more than 200 takes without slates or reference audio, and built a rough assembly. The producers credit him with saving their film.
